from never ending waters
salted with exalted faith
rivers as seen fallen from
His face as the Earth Quakes
memories of life and love
lava melting like a dream
the moon, a dusty crescent bulb
now shattered by a fiend
Her eyes melt in line to form
along a melody to a suicidal song
the mountain hums so lonely
as the Earth's bass hits resolve

may She miss the rain
my how She's frosted
bitten by the snow
molten metal toxins
boiling in Her soul
I'm sure She misses pain

 a paradox undresses all
the freezing in this way
from all the nips and cuts
every last goodbye
to all the bruises, bad luck
sorrow, hate and arguments

then the shattered crescent
recollects and starts to ring
The fiend reaches out to get it
but ears begin to bleed
fingers join the lava
throat too dry to scream
but whispers, She

"Oh! Ever-loving Father
Wallow with me as I weep
See me as we've fallen
See to it that we reach
Where we need to go
And that place that we call home
For the sorrows I won't keep
And longer Father, no
Not me

Oh Christ! how I'm sick of feeling
Like I need to be
Someone worth your healing
So long as I still bleed
But aren't we all within the struggle
Yet, fall short to understand?
Why can't we just go back
To when we thought we had a plan
This time skip the traps"

"From every little nip and cut
Every single last goodbye
To all the bruises, bad luck
Sorrow, hate and subtle lie
        And every muffled cry
        And every treasured tie
Let my love become your crescent
Your's my crescent and my light
May Our love become a band of clouds
Pouring down beneath the sky
Farming never ending waters
From your bleeding heart to mine."

It was 2017 and I had sit out the election in rebellion of the system trying to pressure me into a Clinton vote with vague notions of 'life or death'. I called myself a Trump supporter.

Flash forward to Holiday, standing by the dining room table. Hearing the dialogue play out, step my step.

"I just can't understand how anyone could vote for him." -Aunt
[I chose to sit out the 'wildcard' vote]
   "Karen's a Trump supporter," -Mother.
[Awesome, watch her misinterpret this]
"Why," Turning to me, my aunt quells any remaining white noise in the room.

"Well, for the last 40,50, ...60 years the constituti-"

"I think whoever votes for Trump should be drafted first when WW3 starts," index finger dressing me down.
[Aaand just like that I'm a Trump Voter and need to die.]

I voted for Trump in 2020 just for you.
[No, not really]

May Biden voters and Trump voters be treated equally by the content of their character, not the appearance of their political identity. peace.

...PEACE.
